A politician, architect, surgeon and a salesperson were discussing whose profession was the oldest. “Well,” said the surgeon “God made Eve from Adams rib-a surgical job surely?” “Ah” replied the architect, “before that, God created order out of chaos, and that is work for an architect” The politician made what he thought was his coup de grace “And who do you think made the chaos in the first place?” They then all looked to the salesperson for his contribution. “And who persuaded God that the whole project was a good idea in the first place?”
Selling as a profession has evolved. No longer is it an embarrassment at parties to admit that unlike your friends, the doctor or teacher that you are a salesperson. You can now be proud to tell everyone at the top of your voice “I am a salesperson!”
